Using different Alternate states in a single pivot table

I wanted 2 seperate selections for year, the corresponding Quarter and Month. For that I created list boxes, one set with Alternate state as inherited and other as new state. The image of my selection screen is attached.

Now I want to do subtractions based upon these two different selections in a single pivot table.

How to write an expression in which I can differentiate between alternate states??

Or is there some way to create this selection screen other than using alternate states?
