Issue with QVD Creation

Hello All,

I am having an issue with the creation of QVDs.

The script runs without a problem and when it comes to storing the data in the QVD the script Breaks.

Any help regarding this issue will be appreciated.

Can you provide your load script with store script may be some error in the STORE command or the QVD path also.

Syntax for Store command is.

Store YourTableName into YourTableName.qvd (qvd);

I cannot be providing the script as it is the organizations property bu the store statement is as follows:

Store tablename into 'D:\Users\Desktop\Deploy Folder\Filename.qvd'(QVD);

use this syntax inpace

Store tablename into D:\Users\Desktop\Deploy Folder\Filename.qvd;

Write like

Store tablename into 'D:\Users\Desktop\Deploy Folder\Filename.qvd' (QVD);

You can write like this also

let vPath = 'D:\Users\Desktop\Deploy Folder'

Store tablename into $(vPath)\Filename.qvd (QVD);

Check the access permissions on the destination folder.

Hi,

If ur script runs fine and if u have an error in storing the file.

Then whatever the path u have specified to store into a QVD is not valid.

This happens wen ur using the relative path ..

if you have already created qvd and its not creating for next time

then close all qlikview

and delete qvd

and then again try .it will work. beacuse if qvd get access at same time from different app .then it get locked.

Usually this has to do with the path specified on the script to store the file.

Can you check storing the QVD on a different path?

I think check your folder location and your qvd location and do with this script for qvd

let vPath = 'D:\Users\Desktop\Deploy Folder'

Store tablename into $(vPath)\Filename2.qvd (QVD);

Just simply right that script

ABC:

Store ABC into ABC.qvd(qvd);

Drop Table ABC;

Please make sure after Store statement you are wirting right table name. and dnt give the path for qvd as qvd is drop where your apps is exist
