Hello,

I am trying to launch Excel sheet from Button object. It lauches excel file when Qlikview file opened in server, but fails t o launch (no response) in Browser (IE). In Button, I have set below properties,

General Tab: Function -> Launch/Export

Launch Tab: Application (checked) and Excel File path provided

Note: Qlikview version 8.2

User has full access to folder.

Any hint would be appreciated.

Siva,
I don't think it's expected to work this way. Even if it's possible, it will not be that simple.

I also meet this issue:

trying to launch Excel sheet from button, it woks in QlikView client, but after deploy to server , it fails in Browser(IE).

But this feature works for PDF launch.

I find one different between launching pdf and launching xls. When launching xls from client , there will be a pop-up window(open pdf no this window) ,after you click on the pop-up window, the xls can be opened from browser, but seems the pop-up window don't work when lanching xls from brwoser.

Is there any way to open xls from IE without pop-up windows?

Any suggestion will be appreciated. Tthanks!
