Creating personalized reports by user

Hi,

I received a request for a new dashboard that shall - apart from some standard stuff - fulfill this requirement:

"The Dashboard provides the functionalities to configure and create personalized reports and analytical queries or reports and supports the Interaction with and sharing data and analytics."

So I interpret it as kind of a sandbox for the end users, enabling them to create reports on their own based on the loaded data model. My question is now, if and how this can be achieved?

Hi Jens, Even i would like to know the answer for this.. allowing users to develop report from access point that is a good question..

There are many ways to achieve this.

You have to enable 'Allow Server Objects' and 'Collaboration' in the server. Having said that, I must say that there is limitation of creating reports in the browser by users.

Users have to work on already created objects(like charts), they would only be able to modify the expression or the dimension that are available.
