export to Excel, then cannot open it

Hello,

My client reported this issue: after export a chart from QVW to Excel, the Excel file cannot be opened.

The error message says ' *.xls cannnot be accessed, the file may be corrupted, located on a server that is not responding. or read-only.'

client can open other excel files(not from qlikview) on the same machine, he also restarted his machine, and I have restarted all qlikview services, still not working.

he did not have the problem before. Anybody knows how to resolve this issue?

try to copy this xls from server t oanother machine and then try. Maybe it is something with user rights ....

my client resolved it by the following step:

control panel - all control panel items - default programs - set associations, set Current Default for extension 'xlsx' and 'xls' to 'Microsoft Excel'.
