Regarding the Qualify

Can i use the Qualify statment?, without changing the field name .....

suppose

qualify *

Load a1,a2,a3

from sales.qvd (qvd);

a1 and a2 and a3 field name shld nt be changed whn i am using the Qualify.

I`m not sure what you r trying to say.

But if my undersatnding is correct following would be the answer for your question.

qualify *;

unqualify a1,a2,a3;

Load a1,a2,a3

from sales.qvd (qvd);

unqualify *;

I knw this thing watever you metion bt my question is ..

when i am use qualify * then it changes all the field name with logical tablename.field name ..... then it will stop to making a joins ...

my question is i don't want ot change the field name whn i am using this ..... and also avoid the joins..... is tat possible?

I think , it is not possible... you should try to aliasing the fields. No other go , i believe....
