Qlikview Server NTFS not working - Help needed ASAP today

HI All

I have implemented a new server this weekend

I am using NTFS to share. I have worked of the OLD Live Server and replicated this.

So the new server is up and running but when i test this logging in with a user's credentials i see all reports

In the old Live Server i only saw what folders they were assigned to using NTFS.

This doesn't seems to be working.

Can someone help me urgently otherwise tomorrow im gonna have serious problems

Hi Adil,

Do you use Active Directory or Local directory for Authenticating?

How do you distribute your document?

Do you have publisher with you?

As I see your Image, I suggest you to alter following things.

1) on Anonymous Account --> click on local computer

2) remove 0 from alternate build number.

Check if it works.

Thanks for the quick reply

I am using All Directories

1. Local Server - Does not have any users apart from SA account

2. comapny (Ldap://DC=internal,dc=COmpany, dc=com LDAP to a Active Directory

3. company (winNT://Company)

These are the three i am using.

I tried what you mentioned and it did not work...the 0 also cam back automatically?

Any ideas?

Sorry yes i am using Qlikview Publisher and Qlikview Server on one machine

Hi Adil,

Can you tell me what version of QlikView you use with build number?

Local directory is fine.

Why you configure two directories?

Is your new server connected to domain?

Are all your users coming from Active Directory or Windows NT directory?

Do you have separate Licences for the two servers or you use same licence?

Did you scheduled your documents or just you copy paste stuff from old to new?

try by scheduling it via publisher?

When you schedule your application did you find users while distributing your application?

I am using Qlikview Version11.2 sr5

There were 2 directories in the old live server so i copied that.

Yes it is connected to a domain

No i do not get sperate licenses for the 2

I copied the INI file from old server to new

There is a slight problem there are 2 users and one is not getting the PDF sent to them? the are on the AD

If you see below it says there are 2 users

But when i click to check it only lists one user? Any ideas

you cannot use same License in two servers.

Are both of your servers connected to same domain?

Hiya

Yes both are in the same domain.

I seems to be one domain listed twice.

I managed to find one thing it said share Everyone on the main set of folders which i have now stopped and rebooted server waiting for it now.

I think it could have been this but will wait and see.

So even though individual folder permissions were set the main folder was sharing with everyone....NOT GOOD

Yes this was the problem....Resolved!!!!!!

Haha What an idiot, i should have checked this first....I always think things are more techinal than they seem.
