Entered data can write back into DB?

Hi All,

my requirement is :data entry from users can be captured and can write back into DB.

is there any way to achieve it(Without Extension).

Anyone can help me out.

Hi,

i want to achieve it by using Inputbox.

once the user entered some comment by using the Inputbox..that data sholud write back to Database.

you need to write Macro as Kalaimani suggested for the Oracle DB connection and putting values to the DB/Tables

S u can achive it with an action set on a text object or button as shown below

with macro it should be possible to write back to oracle i guess... Pls try it out and post on any issues u r facing on implementation.

i copied the zip folder from the first link and i am trying to run the .vbs file but,it's throwing an error(Provider can not be found. It may not be properly installed)

i am using Oracle11g.

For this to work the client need Oracle Oledb or ODBC installed locally.

i read in the word doc...that i have to place qlikview app in the path where Qlikview Access point is located.

but i don't have access to Server and Access Point.

i want to develepe it from my end if it works then i will consolidate with server.
