Can we selectively enable clone for users on access point in QV 11?

Yes,

Open your document in QlikView desktop --> Go to chart properties --> Layout --> Uncheck allow copy or clone option.

Currently Allow Copy/Clone is checked but the option does not come up in Access Point. Please suggest

Hi,

You need to unckeck it from your QlikView desktop and save it back.

Now end users cannot copy or clone objects.

You will need to enable some of the security options in the Sheet Properties|Security tab

I want few users to be able to clone objects but not for all. Currently Clone is disabled for all and Allow Copy/Clone is checked in Qlikview Desktop

Hi,

From first you can ask this, ok now the thing is that you cannot control just single features.

It is like give it or take it. If you want only few users cannot copy or clone, I think this is not supported.

I'm not sure but check the attached image and select Named user from highlighted and add relevent users you wan to give permission of clone or creating server objects here.

Sorry for the confusion. It is enabled for "All authentic users". But it doesnt seem to bring clone option on Access point . Copy option is enabled in Access point.

Hi,

Did you follow all two steps

Now make sure allow copy or clone is selected from your desktop.

and instead of all authenticated users select named users and add list of users whom you want to give clone option.

Then add your user only, tell me if you can make clone or create any new objects. --> It should work for you

and ask someone else to login and create a separate object or clone this one. --> It should not work for someone else.

I followed all the steps.

I checked clone option in Sheet and object properties.

I added my name under Allow Server Objects--> Named Users.

When I right click on my chart it shows properties, copy, notes , print, Send to excel, Export , Minimize and Maximize options. But Clone option is not in the list.

Hi,

Clone is not a default option available,you need to make sure you can copy and paste objects.

I can copy and paste objects from access point. But the users also want clone option in Qlikview 11. is it possible?

Was it possible in Qlikview 10?

Yes, I see this with charts I was trying with table box.

I'm sure we cannot have this in access-point.
