Nishant,

I'm not sure about the printing problem (I'd need to know more about the type of object you are printing and what Caption are you referring to), but when it comes to the "InputField" functionality, this is not a bug, it's actually designed to work this way. InputField values are designed to survive reload, otherwise your users would lose their entered values every time you refresh all other data (virtually every night).

You can "restore values" to the loaded ones, either manually or using Macros.

If you, however, believe that you are dealing with bugs, please report them to QlikTech.

cheers,

Oleg

Hello All,

I have upgraded from QV 7 to QV 8.5 six months back.We are using QV Server and IE Plug in.

I am facing following two problems with QlikView 8.5.

(i) When user does right click and Print we do not get the caption printed. This was happening very well in QV 7 version.

(ii) I am using an 'InputField' in my script. When I change the data in the backend data file (excel file) and refresh (reload) the QlikView file it doesn;t shows the new values, it shows me the same old values.

If you have some solution to the above problems, please let me know. I hope the above bugs will be removed in QV 9 vesion.

Thanks and Regards,

Nishant

Dear Oleg,

Thanks for your reply. I understood the InputField issue. You are right, it should be the functionality of QlikView.

Regarding my first issue of Printing Caption, I have am trying to print 'Pivot Table' and the caption I am saying is the Title of the Pivot Table. User has an habit of seeing the caption in the printout, when he was using QV 7. Now suddenly after installing QV 8.5, user is complaining that Caption is not coming in the prinout.

Please suggest if you have any alternative solution for this problem?

Thanks again.

Regards,

Nishant
