GetselectedCount with Alternate State

Hi Folks,

I have an issue, I want to get value wheathet user has selected something on not which we usually do with getselectedcount

But have it in alternate state, It works if i use aggr functions but not with "get" functions ,

I am trying to get output in a text object , "i want output without changing alternate state of Text Object."

any help would be appreciated.

Hey It Doesnt seem to work if i select date from List Box of Date Field "which is actually using Alternate state",

In table box it is in inherited state so it would definietly work.

It Wouldn't tell here that user has made any selection or not, Because if i clear it shows 7 , and if i select all values then also it shows 7, I wouldn't be able to build a logic on this.

I hope i have cleared my point.

Inherited state means - it actually inherits the state from the superior object. For example, here text box/ table box inherits the state from sheet object. If you change the state of the sheet to Group1, you would see the change.

But i can't change it, Because i want to use it into conditional enabling of pivot chart which don't provide me this functionality,

And i cant change the pivot itself to "Group 1" bcoz i have 2 expressions in pivot which use "Group1 and Group 2" both.

Conditional enabling of expressions? If so, may be you can take two charts (with single expression for each) with different states.
