Select values from different fields in drill down group

Hi,

I have a chart with a drill down group as a dimension, the group is Quarters, months, weeks, days (Q1>March> W7>5.3.14).

It works well enough, but I want to be able to choose values from different fields:

I want to choose to show as months- March, April and May, but if I choose these three months, because they are in different quarters (Q1 and Q2) the chart shows the two quarters, instead of showing the three months.

How can I change this kind of behavior?

A solution could be introducing another dimension (month in your case) and enable / disable the dimension (the group or the single dimension) with a button. To do this set a variable, control it with a button and set conditional view into the dimension

I have managed to make this to work, but I wonder if there is a way that QlikView will choose the dimension that its values will fit the best in the chart (lets say that if there are more than 50 days, show in weeks - not in a manual condition but so all data will fit in the screen)?
