I would like to open a project created by another user on a QV Licensed Edition. I have a Personal Edition. The user handed me a folder containing .xml files, named Project -prj. I created a new .qvw document, with same name as the folder without -prj. I open the .qvw with double click but i get this error.

Is there a workaround to have it open with the PE ? What are the inconsistencies ? Would it be solved using a QV licensed version ?

Hello.

I think the inconsistencies are that the contents of the qvw doesn't match what is in the prj folder. It's made that way so not to be possible to circumvent the limitations of the PE by sharing prj folders. You should be able to open the qvw with a licensed QV Desktop.

Regards.
