    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;i'm not sure if there is a direct way of doing this in a pivot table...but you can clone the chart and remove the dimensions to get grand totals for each expression that you place below the pivot chart and play with the layers and borders and you will be able to achieve your requirement.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

This can provide an exact appearance to your pivot requirement. You lose flexibility but support your appearance/structure requirement.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;if you have to go this route, that is you have to have a pivot table and not a straight table...then you also need to make sure you uncheck size to data in the layout tab of the pivot table. this way the total table will not be out of place when a selection is made in the pivot table.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
