Reading excel file

Hi,

I am facing an issue while reading excel file from UNC path into qvd.

While loading the sheet, the column names are different from the one which is in the excel.

Eg:

ColumnName is excel - "2014 Buget"

Column name while pulling into the qvd - "2011 Budget"

I can see a formula in the excel as "=XDO_?DT1_LABEL?&" Budget".

If anyone knows why this is happening, please let me know.

Are you in the correct excel file?

it have to be the same name in the excel and when you load in qlikview

Yes I have cross checked and I have loaded the right excel.

I am doubting that, the issue may be in calculation of the column name in excel or the fetching of excel from the UNC path.

Have you made sure you calculated your spreadsheet before it was saved and were there any errors during the save (such as 'unable to save external link values')? You may be loading the spreadsheet which as last calculated and saved back when it was linked to the 2011 Budget it then re-calculates after opening so appears to you as 2014 Budget. Once you've seen it as 2014 Budget did you then save or close without saving?
