How to know which client is better for ODBC Connection

Hi guys, Can someone explain this to me please:

How to know which client is better for ODBC Connection. WIN 7 64 or 32..

I only know that 64 i faster than 32 and would like to get a good idea of the use of all of them and when to use which.

You should try both and make your tests.

Performance can vary depending of manufacturer, version, etc

Also on a developer's perspective, 64 bit would be preferred not necessarily because of "better" ODBC connection, but as a (technically) better environment generally. IMHO

I think he simply means to test to see which one you prefer.

Agreed. You should use a 64 bit environment. The biggest advantage is the higher amount of addressable memory. Also you should use OLE DB instead of ODBC if possible. OLE DB is newer, simpler and faster.

You didn´t tell us about which database you´re connection.

Maybe some 32bits version of a driver of MySQL (for example) could perform better than 64bits.

As a guideline, test using your enviroment
