Can we start the task depend upon the Database updation?

Hi experts,

I just want to reload the task if Database updated with the current date's data.

Is any functionality in Qlikview?

Yes, you can use external event triggering using EDX (web service).

you can write batch script file for that.. i don't think that there is any direct functionality for the same

Bat file to trigger the EDX event.

You have to call the bat file after the database update is complete. It's not the QV question and the method depends on the database that you use.

Can we trigger the bat file depends upon if Qlikview task has finished sucessfully.

Yes. You can create separate qvw and use Exec statement in the script to call the bat file.

Then just place this qvw in the sequence of tasks and choose the parent task that you want.

Execute cmd.exe /C E:\SendMail_Currency.bat
