I have a complex if then analysis issue in qlikview.

i have two files.

one is an inventory record showing the transactions that have taken place.

Each entry has an unique entry number.

when an item is produced, it is transferred from one location to another location. the link between the new entry number and old entry number is maintained in a separate file.

pls refer the attachment.

in sheet 2, item ledger entry number 2217490 is the starting entry number because outbound entry number is 0.

from here the costs is transferred to entry number 2218050 ( see the inbound entry number).

from here the costs are transferred to entry number 2218051 (see the outbound entry number)

the previous entry number is also mentioned beside.

the numbers will not be in the same sequence.

I want the final entry number and ant the first entry number against it.

What is your Final Entry for 2217490?(2218051 or 2218109)

Do you want to identify Final entry only for inbound entries where Outbound entry is 0?

neither of those numbers.

2217490 is the starting number.

it is linked to 2218050, (refer inbound entry number same as starting number)

this in turn is linked to 2218051 (refer outbound entry number same as previous linked number)

this is linked to 2218106 (refer inbound entry number).

This in turn is linked to 2218107 which is the final number.

so the result should be like this:

last number 2218107 first number 2217490
