Loading 45 milion rows...

Hi all,

one of my customers is trying to load data from a Oracle table with a simple script:

SELECT field1, field2, ..., field 15 from tableName;

Loading all rows required 23 minutes, and before loading he had to wait for 12 minutes to have che "close" button avaible.

RAM: 12 Gb, QV 11, local client.

Any ideas of what he can do? Is the pc's RAM not enough?

Not only RAM, your local system's configuration too could be a factor of improvement consideration . Try loading same in a server and see the difference yourself.

Hi, If it is a regular task, then consider Incremental Loading for subsequent loading.

It's already on a server, although there is a local client version on.
