topic union all in QlikView

LOAD * Inline

];

union all

Load * Inline

[

C,D

6,7

5,6

4,5

]

where i did the mistake, can any one help....

Error:-

Unknown statement

union all

Qlikview doesn't know the union keyword. The qlikview equivalent is concatenate. It will force adding data from a load to an already existing table

Test:

LOAD * Inline

[

A,B

1,2

2,3

3,4

];

CONCATENATE(Test)

Load * Inline

[

C,D

6,7

5,6

4,5

]

Still confusion with that.

Pls give me some clarity on this.

a. Column names are not same, is it working. Because in Qlikview column names are same then it will be concatenate. Here column names are not same...so is it possible Concatenate....pls provide the final output.

b. as well as NoConcatenate ...

C. if i forgot to put Conctaenate/NoConcatenate keyword then what is the result.....

Hi,

If field names are same then no need to write concatenate it will be auto concatenated.

If not then we will force concatenate result by writing concatenate key word.

Which is similar to

SELECT * from Table1

UNION ALL

SELECT * from Table2;

Hi,

Are you doing union all on inline table or data from DB?

because if you are doing on data from different tables in DB Union all works.

But not on inline tables ,as qlikview doesn't recognize the Union all keyword..

Hi Nitha,

I Create two tables in Sql Server.

Create Table Test1

(

Col1 char(1),

Col2 int

)

Create Table Test2

(

Col1 char(1),

Col2 int

)

Insert into Test1 values('A',1),('B',4),('C',3)

Insert into Test1 values('G',9),('y',4),('R',6)

The above two tables are accessed in QlikView, i'm getting now.

select Col1,Col2 from Test1

unionall

select Col1,COl2 from Test2;
