Enable/Disable Initial Data Reduction Based on Section Access for specific userid

Hi everyone, I'm learning how to access restricted data through section access, as introducing at Page 478, Reduction fields, Chapter 14 Security, QlikView 11 for developers.

The access table is as follow:

ACCESS, USERID, PASSWORD, %FLIGHTTYPE, OMIT

ADMIN, ADMIN, ADMIN123, *,

ADMIN, ADMIN, ADMIN123, INTERNATIONAL_US,

USER, DF, DF123, DOMESTIC_FOREIGN,

USER, DU, DU123, DOMESTIC_US,

USER, IF, IF123, INTERNATIONAL_FOREIGN,

USER, NOCARRIER, NOCARRIER123, *, Carrier Name

Hidden Script password: 1

However, the list box still shows all the values even though I login as USER access. And what I expect is different user id access data with different restriction.

So as the instruction says that I need to enable Initial Data Reduction Based on Section Access.

This option isn't able for User, and it's able for all the Admin access. So, my problem is, can I enable/disable to control this option for the specific USERID.

Hi Yang, you use data reduction in the documentou or you dont use data reduction

there is no posibility to in the same document use data reduction and not use data reduction if you are user a or user b

you have to apply the INITIAL DATA REDUCTION tostart reduce the data base on the secction acces.
