Bookmark not Working

Hi All,

Have created a QlikView file.

1)Two list boxes L1 and L2.

2)Cleared all and selected value f1 in L1.

3)Created bookmark B1

4)Whenever clear all done and B1 is selected then f1 in L1 is highlighted.

5)Next for L2 have enabled the property "Always one selected value"

6)Cleared all and Selected v2 in L2.

7)Selected Bookmark B1.

8)Expected is that the value f1 in L1 is selected.

9)The Bookmark B1 no more works.

10)The issue is currently in LIVE and we are looking for a workaround.

Can anyone please suggest workaround options, if you have come across this issue?

Please see attachment which has the issue simulated.

Is it something you are trying to distribute the application using publisher? If so, there was an issue with QV11.2 SR2 and got resolved in SR5. Check the version you are using and upgrade if required.

Hi,

I have tried the steps you specify.

I created bookmark B1 and make selection in L2 value v2 and apply bookmark B!

I have following Selecting

L1 --> F1

L2 --> v1

Which is correct.

It works normal as expected.

Hi Ashfaq,

Can you please check the attachment that I have given?

First create the bookmark L1 --> F1 , then check if it works

Next after that for L2 --> F2 have Always one selected value. (This was not there before)

Now when F2 is highlighted check the bookmark.

Yes, thanks. The issue is in Live, at the moment looking for a workaround.

I followed the same and it works.

Have a look at the attachment.

I tried with 11.2 sr6

Thanks Ashfaq, In the attachment that I have given, clear all.

In L2 select v2 and choose bookmark. it will not work.

Clearall again and In L2 select v1and then choose bookmark. It will work.

Same here, using 11.2 Sr6

Its working for me have a look at the attachments.

I tried with both 11.2 SR6 and sr7 and it worked.

Hi Ashfaq,

Yes i see it works for you, had a look at the attachments and the QVW you have attached. Since you are using B1.

If you can use 06-08-2014 -1 bookmark then you will get the error.

The sequence is that first we make a selection, then we create the bookmark, then we add the Älways one selected value and still use the old bookmark. The point here is that the Älways one selected value is not a part of the bookmark 06-08-2014 -1 since it was created later.

Yes, I followed your sequence and noticed that its not working.

You can try by changing sequence as I have working one.

Or you may contact support may be they come up with some solution.

Hi Ashfaq,

Yes this is a known issue that would be fixed in next release by QlikTech.

However we are having this on LIVE. So we cannot recreate a bookmark there are hundreds of them.

Looking at workarounds. Something like amending bookmark/ creating a macro that will fire on select of the bookmark and for that moment make the property of the listbox void and then again back. Looking at alternates at the moment. There seems no onbookmark trigger. Anything let me know,
