I want to calculate the expected value of a variable like this:

Suppose random variable X can take value x₁ with probability p₁, value x₂ with probability p₂, and so on, up to value x_k with probability p_k. Then the expectation of this random variable X is defined as

Hi Marjan,

According to the requirement you need to design your Expression to calculate the desired result.

you can make use of default Qlikview functions for this. Refer Qlikview Help
