We are using QlikView 11.20 SR 2 and if we turn on the the WebView, we get this error messages:

We upgraded QlikView 11.20 SR 2 to QlikView 11.20 SR 8 and the error messages did change:

Ok in this case can you tell me what version of IE you use.

I suggest you to upgrade your IE to IE 11 to resolve this issue.

We are using already IE Version 11 to be accurate Version 11.0.9600.17280.

Is this with any particular extension or all.

Possibly, there is an erroneous extension installed in the system. Clear the unwanted extensions from the path:

C:\Users\....\AppData\Local\QlikTech\QlikView\Extensions // Desktop

C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer\Extensions // Server

\Document

\Object

It should work fine.

We are using only the GlobeQlik Extension so far i know. The error happens in every report.

And a Test Report which uses GlobeQlik can be used on our QlikView Server with AccessPoint.

We looked in the folder

C:\Users\....\AppData\Local\QlikTech\QlikView\Extensions // Desktop

and removed all extensions folders.

But the Problem still exists

Has something to do with the creation of an ActiveX object of type Msxml2.DOMDocument.3.0 not succeeding.

Just a guess: are the MsXML dll's (still) installed and registered on your Windows machine? Does every client machine experience this problem?

Every client machine experiences this problem but every client machine has the absolute same configuration.

Try remove the unnecessary extensions from server:

C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer\Extensions // Server

\Document

\Object

Why? Our Server and our Client are on 2 different machines and we have no trouble on the server.

Plus on the Server is only the GlobeQlik Extension installed.

No we have not tried Chrome.

We have only a problem with the WebView in the Client and so far I know this uses the Internet Explorer. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Yes it uses IE when you develop.

Same problem with other extensions?

I think it is not an extension problem.

Our client has at the moment no extension installed and the WebView does not work in any of our report.

Hi Markus,

Are you perhaps running IE11 in any debug mode? If so, do you get the same errors if turning that off?
