Qlikview Server on windows 8

Hi Guys,

how to install qlikview server 11.20 latest SR on windows 8.1,

in qlik download site, i am unable to find qv server for windows 8, i found only desktop client for windows 8.

please help,

Hi,

Look for Windows2012andup. That will work and if you don't see that you will need to contact your account manager.

It will work will work with Windows 8.1.

Yes, Sense will work on Windows 8.1, but you can't run Sense on the same machine as QVS.

i meant Qlik Sense desktop only, not server..

on my windows 7 laptop, i am running QV Desktop 11. 20 sr7, and QV Server same version, and Qlik Sense Desktop initial release...

and i want to run above 3 apps, on windows 8.1 laptop..

i already downloaded Windows2012ndUP QV Server...

BUT I AM UNABLE TO FIND Qlik Sense for Windows2012andup.

i just found Qlik_Sense_Desktop_x64setup.exe, which i tried to install, but failed...

Hi,

I really don't think you can run both on same machine. I don't know if Sense will refuse to install or not.

Yeah, pretty sure Bill is correct in that you cannot run both on the same machine.

We have QlikViewServer_Win2012andUp exe and we are getting the following error when we go ahead and install on Windows Server 2008 R2(64 Bit):

"The Qlikview Server 2012 64 Bit can only be installed on Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and later"

Is there any other setup file for Windows Server 2008 R2?

That would be expected, being that installer is designed to be run on Windows 2012 and not 2008. You will need the QlikViewServer_x64Setup.exe for 2008.

You have to download the version Windows2012andUP will work with windows 8

now I've installed all, services are running, I've got the qmc opened and the localhost access point but with this msg

do i need a qv server license or how do I say I'm the localhost, just wanna see files from my machine?
