Bookmarks not working Server

Hi All

My users are creating bookmarks on the Server and they work well... until I publish a new version of the App.

I'm copying a modified app over the original leaving all other files alone (meta etc).

After this the users can still see their bookmarks in the list but they no longer work?

Please can someone advise how I can rectify this issue when publishing a new version of the App?

You need to keep the application-name unchanged,

neither you can change the fieldnames, which are then to be used in the bookmarks.

Thanks; I do keep the filename the same and the fieldnames also. the only thing I might do is add new fields - would that cause the problem?

Hi,

you must not copy the shared-file. All user-objects are stored in a file named like the application,only with the ending ".SHARED".

Else, have no idea, what might have gone wrong then.

I have the same, we use publisher and I can see just my bookmarks.

sure they are shared, when creating by user the option is marked.

I have noticed that when I open this doc on my PC from server in Bookmark options I can see the bookmark created by other users. then I can mark show, and save the doc,

after this action I can see this bookmark when opened in IE from portal.

but what to do to have it visible by default for other user ?

maybe some option I do not know about , I'm new so can be something simple.

Think that by default these shared bookmarks cannot be made visible,

each user has to make it by himself.

most users has no local QV on their PC, just use IE. and here I can not see any option to make it visible.

dose it means it's unusefull in this case ?

Rightclick -> Repository -> Show Shared Items -> Bookmarks

is tere any way we can change the setting to show it in bookmark dropdown list.

I can do this by changing the seting in application, but just for me

maybe some way to do it for all users with some macro or anything that can be automated ?
