Selecting multiple values in field action when field contains programmatic chars

Hello All,

I was hoping someone could direct me to syntax for selecting multiple values in a field when the field contains any variety of programmatic characters.

The field to select has values with double quotes, single quotes, and probably char sequences that could contain a wide variety of programmatics. Any way to prepare an action selection string with alternative delimiters and quoting? Any assistance is much appreciated, thanks.

e.g.

("My first "value" has double quotes"|"My second is 'a' single") <~this syntax is not grabbing the values with the double quotes
