Set a Filter when opening a new qvw file via a button

Hey Everybody,

I have a question.

I have a report where I have a button. When selecting the button "Europe" I want to open the specific a new file called Region.qvw (Trigger: Open QlikView Document) and at the same time I want to set the filter of the region to "Europe" within the region.qvw file that just opened.

I thought I can do that with the trigger "Select in Field" but somehow this is now working.

Any idea?

Select in field would work for your current document. I am not aware of a way to do this, but I would be curious to know if there is a way to do it.

when you use the Action "Open QlikView Document", you can check an optional setting "Transfer Sate". That will transfer your selections to the opened document, provided that the fields are named the same.

Also you can try Transfer Current State option of the trigger, before that you need to apply selection for Region as Europe in the Current Dashboard.
