Pre Filtering Dashboard from Selections in another

Hi,

I have two dashboard. Is it possible to filter Dashboard 1 and on a button click open Dashboard 2 prefiltered from the selections in Dashboard 1?

Any help or advice is appreciated!

I am not sure of field data carying from dash board to dash board directly but we can do it with macros. And your other requirement will be achieved with sheet activation using button actions.

Hi,

When you said 2 dashboard it means 2 different sheet or 2 different QVW file

if you mean 2 different sheet of same QVW then go with suggestion given by Hariprasad

If you mean 2 different QVW file then you have go with Document Chaining Concept.

Hi again,

I have tested this this evening. I have created 2 copies of the same Dashboard :

Link1.qvw
Link2.qvw

I'm opening Link1 using the IE plugin on Accesspoint. When I click to open Link2, it is opening with AJAX and not transferring the selections over. Any ideas??

Hi,

Which action you are performing on Button Action??

If you are given action External -> Open URL

then it is not possible.

If you are acheiving this by action External -> Open Qlikview Document ->Add-> Write Document Name.

then select Mark Transfer State, Apply State on Top of Current
