Hi all,

we have done some 40+ dashboard for middle level mangt to high level mngt. But there is request & issue. all users when they login through access point they can see all the dashboards.

the business request is when they landed on Access point they want see the thumbnails or the apps what they have access only.

e.g. out of 40 user A have acceess to 2 dashboard, then whenever he logs in he should able to only 2 dashboards. other dashboards should not be visible.

Have you tried applying section access to the dashboards

The normal behaviour of the access point is to only display those documents for which the users has access rights.

So, if you set up section access in the QVW documents that limits user A to two dashboards, they should only see those two.

If you are using NT security, then the NT active directory groups can also be used to limit access, and access point will also respect those permissions.

If u have Publisher, distribute the files using AD names or AD groups. Then it will only be visible to the correct users. Section access will not hide the thumpnails in AccessPoint.

Hi,

If you are using DMS authorization then its possible to set the authorization.

Go to Authorization tab for each document on the QMC / Documents section. In that tab you can select the users who are authorized to see/access the documents.
