I have a requirement where I need to consume a WSDL web service using macros. Can anybody please provide an example or document that could be helpful.

Hi Jerry,

None of the above documents mention anything about calling a wsdl web service.

I would like to ask you why you want consuming a webservice from a macro?

Would not it be better to consume a WSDL webservice with another application (.net or java) and connect with qlikview by extension Object?

SQL Writeback from QlikView extension object.

I think the implementation with macro only would work in QlikView Desktop.

Thanks for your reply. And I am not adamant on using macros but I haven't found any useful extension that can connect qlikview with say, java. I went throught the documents you attached but these write back to the database from qlikview. What my requirement is to extract some xml data from a web service.

If you could suggest a possible solution, it would be really helpful.
