hi,

when my users opening models in the explorer with ie plugin its taking alot of time (30 sec)

to the model to be opened

someone know why?

i how can i resolve this?

Hi Adi,

QlikView Plugin uses port 4747 to connect directly to the QlikView Server instead of using HTTP like the Ajax client. However, when port 4747 is not open in both the server and the local computer, it will fall back to HTTP, which is called tunneling. That requires basically wrapping all objects and sending them via HTTP, which makes the process much slower.

Verify that the ports are open accordingly (TCP) and that you can open any other app without problems

You need to go to the Server firewall as well as the local computer firewall and add a rule to make port 4747 TCP available. You can find more info on how to do it using the Windows Firewall here:

Likewise, add an exception to your antivirus software, which is likely to prevent programs installed to start network connections on its own. You will need your IT team since configuration varies a lot depending on the software used.
