It is transparently read correctly by QV (with no effort on QV part) as long as the reading userid is authorized. Unauthorized userids will not be able to decrypt.       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Has anyone used or needed it ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The purpose is encrypt one, many rows on DataBase, CSV, QVD/X generation and &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;on Edit Script decrypt them.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Performance reduced in more than 10%.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;The old EFS encrypt the file and protect it on Windows Systems.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;"... if the password is lost or reset, &lt;SPAN style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;or if the operating system fails&lt;/SPAN&gt; or is reinstalled,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;it becomes impossible to gain access to the EFS-encrypted files on the drive.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In fact, access can be lost irreversibly."&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If Your want transfer the QVD to another System's (Domain) EFS "cannot" be used.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There are some cases that the Client (I'm partner) doesn't want access&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;to QVD's files from &lt;SPAN style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 1.5em;"&gt;no one.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Finally, If You has access to QVD you can copy it&amp;nbsp; every time You want .... &lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
