topic apply map issue in QlikView

apply map issue

Hi everybody,

I am working on an already developed application.

I had created an hierarchy in my application using the apply map function

eg Product ---> service Line

The field product was created by me using the apply map function.

Now after succesfuly mapping it when i bring the field product in the front end and make some selections on it , , i get no data to display on all the objects in the entire application.

It works perfectly without the applymap function (I mean just with the new mapping table)

Could anybody tell me what could the possible reason behind it

post your sample application to find out the connection between fields,

May be your modeling was not right or something is not correctly mapped

I think the filed is not linked with the other field, check with that.

Thanks for your reply.

Actually there is a table with the name JOB_TRACKER. this is the main transaction table and into this other *_tracker tables are being concatenated.

I have creatd the apply map field on this JOB_TRACKER table.

Could it be a concatenation issue.

Hi,

After examining i came to understand that the first transaction tables was getting concatenated by several other transaction tables further in the script .

As i had applied the apply map function on the first transaction table , the remaining entries in the first transaction table after concatenation from tables further in the script were having null values for the apply map field.

I solved the issue by reloading the transaction table at the end of the script and using the apply map function with it using resident load.
