DATE() function to retrieve months

Hi,

I have just created a small Excel file with different variation of the month_names as I need these from time to time for mapping purposes in different apps.

In that context I wonder why, when I use the function >> DATE(Monthstart(Today()), 'MMM-YY') << QlikView generates

- Jan

- Feb

- Mar

- Apr

- May

- June

- July

=> For Jan to May, just 3 letters (as specified in the DATE() function), but 4 for June and July ...

I have set the month_names on the "Main" tab of the script to 'Jan;Feb;Mar;Apr;May;June ...' - is that the reason? Then QlikView just looks this up in the primary SET commands when you use this specific date_code?

Can anyone explain this to me?
