You can't protect qvds from user , what you can do is protect the folder in which these qvds are available.

You could protect a QVD by encoding/encrypting the sensitive fields and storing them as blob-data in a custom column in a rearranged QVD.

This has however considerable disadvantages, as you'll have to create reliable encrypt/decrypt routines, devise a technique to make passwords variable (fixed buitl-in passwords = not really secure) and you'll loose the main advantage of a QVD: incredibly quick loading of large amounts of data.

I don't think that you can restrict it from users.

You can do : either create section access on qvw

or create folders with the permissions.
