Hi,

generally, I'd say it is always advisable to have the most current version because usually the developers at Qlik like elsewhere would assume that you have the most current version and develop any new features for this specific one, not necessarily taking care of compatibility with older versions. So if you do have an older version, you might miss out on some new features.

We have QlikView 11.2 SR2 running here and we have different versions, but I don't know of any version-specific issues with IE.
