Hello,

The total mode in expression tab has been disabled. I am using qlikview 11 version . How to enable the total mode in the expression tab?

Pivot table does not have this option, only straight table. This is how it is

Go to Presentation tab and choose Show Partial Sum for each dimension

I need to show the total in chart and not in pivot table or in the straight table. How to enable the total mode which is greyed in charts ?

you can do in this way:

In chart-> in dimensionlimit-> click on show total

Pivot Table/Straight Table in Qlikview is a chart.

Could you post your app or screenshot?

Could please be clear on this "TOTAL MODE". Why you required total mode option enabling.

Because this is the way it is.

Not all option are available for all chart types.

Total in exporession is only available for PT

Hi Sriram,

You can't have an expression total for a bar chart - it has to be done at the dimension limits level. What is it you're trying to do? There are workarounds using aggr() for things like averaging if that's what you need.

is this option total mode not available in version 11. We are migrating our dashboards from 9 to 11. In version 9 it was available but in version 11 I found total mode is disabled.

But with the dimension limits I could able to achieve the requirement .Just a clarification between 9 and 11 is needed now .Please help on this

It's not available in bar charts in v11 or 11.2, no. It will be for other types of chart (as Robert mentioned, straight tables for example).
