Selecting and linking from chart to another tab

When a user clicks on a single bar in a bar chart I want qlikview to navigate to a different tab to display data just for the bar that was selected. E.g. if a chart showing month on month sales then by clicking on the bar for a single month, then qlikview displays a different tab showing further details about sales in that month. Sort of drill down and navigation in one. Can I do this with a macro?

Hello,

You can try with this procédure :

Settings / Document Properties / Triggers tab

Select your field and add an action on Select

Choose "Layout" as action type and "Activate Sheet" as action

Enter your SheetID

Test and say : " Cool ! "

That's great, but for some reason the cursor gets stuck on hourglass after focus shift onto the new sheet. I can only get the cursor back by clicking outside the client window. But even that doesn't work if I'm viewing as a web page (using qvp://localhost/..etc).

Have you ever see the cursor lock up like this after using activate sheet?

I haven't see my cursor locked up.

What's your QV version ?
