Thanks Jonathan for your reply. I guess I could not make it clear. I am just trying to download a file (excel) which is situated in a file server. The qv app is just acting like a link provider here. It(downloading excel) works on desktop client but iPad.

Hello,

One qv app is used to browse and download some excel files from a file server. I can download files desk/laptop client using access point. I can access the application from iPad client but can't download the file. Getting '500 - internal server error'. Am I missing something ? Do I need something extra for iPad?

Thanks.

The iPad client is a viewer only. It does not have development tools or the ability to reload he document.

To make it working I had to use UNC path to the file source. And sharing that path eventually made the path open from windows client using '\\server ip\sharepath'. But the similar approach doesn't work(the path is not accessible) in iPad client. Could this be the reason? If so, is there any alternate solution? Please suggest.
