Hi ,

Can please clarify one doubt regarding Dynamic Update,

Tried dynamic update but the issue is that

1. Working fine in desktop version, but not in access point

dynamic data update was enabled in both client and server.

2. Is there any additional settings we need to do to enable in accesspoint as well.

3. Can please let me know that in dynamic update what ever data we are adding by one user can another user see in accesspoint.

4. Is there an option to store the data loaded in using dynamic update to another table, as after reloading all the records inserted through dynamic data load was getting deleted as it was not coming from any external source.

Hi,

if you launch dynamic update using macro, you should enable server security options:

Allow unsafe macro execution on server

Allow macro execution on server

Allow dynamic data update

moreover the user that launch dynamic update should be member of group "QlikView Administrator"

Are you using macro to perform the dynamic update? If so it may not work in AJAX.

Can please let me know that in dynamic update what ever data we are adding by one user can another user see in AccessPoint.

can please let me know is there any other alternate other than adding QlikView Administrator as we are planning to give to end users, I think its not a good idea to give admin access to end users

1. Yes, data will be visible.

2. The users who want to add or update data, need to be in QlikView Administrators group.

Hi Sasi,

every data inserted using dynamic update are visible to all user, as "normal" data.

Adding user to QlikView Administrator is the only way to run dynamic update command

Say for eg:

User 1 added data in one row and was inserted in to table using dynamic update in access point.

User 2 will see once he login, that is what the expected result.

can please let me know that is there any alternate option to dynamic data load
