topic Conditional Mapping using multiple fields in QlikView

Hi,

I am new to Qlik View and am just trying to get around the way it works. I have a peculiar problem where I seek your help. I have a fact table that has among many other fields, few fields like Product Hierarchy, Application Hierarchy and Order Type. A point to be noted here is Product Hierarchy field runs into virtually millions of possible values. Now, I need to derive Product Category based on combination of conditions of the values of the three fields above. I can of course do this through a one big giant IF statement in my load, however, I rather prefer to try and define a mapping table for ease of ongoing maintenance. Can anyone suggest a solution please?

Thanks,

Pankaj
