daynumberofyear function next to useless

I had a client using daynumberofyear function

But for 1/1/1999 is gave 366. which this date should give day 1.

So I checked and for all years <2001 1st of January gives 366 and >2000 1st January gives 1.

I have also noted that it counts 29th of feb weather it's a leap year or not.

So this function is completely useless.

I used

mydateField -yearstart(mydateField)+1 as daynumberofyear

To get what this function should of returned.
