Hi all,

I have a straight table with 11 dimensions and 6 expressions, in QV desktop it is taking some time to render(do not know exactly)), we have integrated this chart into a web application, there the chart is not rendering but showing an error "Calculation timed out ".

What might be the original problem and how best we can prevent it from QV desktop or QV Server.

Thanks

Kiran Kumar

Talking about the original problem:

     No idea.

(well, how should I without knowing anything about your data model and chart)

If there is a chance, I would definitely try to speed up the calculation.

If everything has been done to speed up things, coming back to the time out:

I think QV desktop has set by default an infinite calculation time out.

QV server has set a timeout in the range of some minutes.

Go to System - Setup - (select server) - Performance - Object calculation time limit

and increase the limit.

See also this (german) blog post:

http://blog.heldendaten.net/2015/04/qlikview-easter-eggs-objecttimelimitsec.html

Not, it will only takes what it needs, just running into into an error if time out limit is exceeded.
