Nothing is reloading on the QMC

Hi Guys,

Nothing seems to reload over the QMC, i can reload fine in the application and the generated log file says everything executed fine.

This is the error message i get in the QMC.

I'm sorry about the red large fonts (You were being sarcastic? or impressed with me being helpful).

Is that the problem? I'm out of disk space?

Someone has told me we have 5gb spare, it can't be disk full.

Well that's what it says. There isn't much more to work on. Is this particular document a large one? Do you use quota on the C:-drive? IMHO the reload engine starts writing the temporary copy, but runs out of disk space..

I think it may be a Check the permissions of the Qlikview service account, do i need to be a QV Admin?

The service account maybe don't have permissions to write in this folder.

Not a QV admin, but you do need Local Administrator rights to change folder permissions for the service account.

Apparently, this is your first server reload? Or did it work as expected before this failure?

Here's the log file with the same error message, it's a tiny temp app with a few words of data, and i have 6gb spare memory. This tells me, i don't think it's memory.

It's the first time I've ran a reload on the QMC as it's a new contract. I'm running it over remote desktop on a local machine using windows authentication. Is it possibly it's checking if i have QV admin rights in the Qlikview service accounts department?

If so? how do i add myself to be a QV Admin? do i do it on my local machine or the server?

No you're right, it isn't memory. But the QMC doesn't think it is either. The log says that the C:-drive of the server is causing trouble.

Normally if you drop a new document in a directory on the QlikView server, the document will inherit the permissions from the directory. It those permissions do not grant the service account any write access, the reload engine will gladly reload the document in memory and try to save the result to disk in a temporary file. At that moment, something goes wrong.

If you have access to the server (or the folder where the server picks up your document), check whether the document lists the service account in File Properties->Security.

If you are working over a Windows share, the share must provide R/W-access on its own.
