Calculation based on dates maintained in another table other than the main table

Hi,

I have a main table which contains details about Tickets and another table where the change history of all the tickets are maintained as in when a Ticket Id was in New ,In progress and Resolved status.

I need to calculate the Resolution timing of each Ticket which will use below formula :

(Date when Ticket was in RESOLVED status) - (Date when ticket was in NEW status )

What is the best possible way of implementing this?

No idea. It depends on the amount of data and where which fact is stored. In the most simple case you simply subtract the two dates. Perhaps you can post a small qlikview document that illustrates the problem.
