Slow opening when trying to open the Script Editor

Hi,

When trying to open the script editor from a document, the opening of the script editor takes a long time (30 seconds).

it wasn't like this, and it happened yesterday, and we can't solve it. we tried to uninstall some updates we made, but still it takes a long time for the Script Editor to be open. It is really annoying and slows our work.

What could be the reason for this?

Hi Tamil,

This happens for all the doduments.

Everytime I try to open the Script Editor from a document (pressing CTR+E), it takes 30 seconds before the Script Editor is being opened.

Hi Raman,

We thought the opening delay is due to some new updates we made, but we uninstall those updates, and still the problem remains.

Hi Tamil,

Unfortunately not. We sent a request for Qlik to help us.

We realy can't understand the reason for this. we also reinstall the Qlikview Desktop. We rollback some update changes, but nothing solve it yet.

That's sad. Final option is reinstall the Qlikview. But that too didn't work in your case. Kindly let us know, If they give you the solution and cause of the issue.

Hi,

We found the solution:

It is a Connector that was not updated.

The list of your connectors can be found inside the Edit Script in the Databsae check box (see screenshot below)

Where did you find the solution to the problem and how did you know which Connector needed to be updated?

Hi,

We got assistant from our local Technical Support, and later on we contact worldwide QlikTech Support .

I don't sure, but I guess that when we knew that there was some problem with the Database Connectors, we just checked the last version available, and replaced this with the old one.
