Hi ALL,

Here i have one more doubt ,please help me out.

I want the data to be loaded to QV according to the selection, without loading all the data to QV, so that performance should be better. For example if i am trying to see as a user and i have the access only to view india data, then qv should load only india data to the memory from the database.

Any help will be appreaciated.

Seems like what you need is in Settings-Document Properties-Initial Data Reduction Based On Section Access.

Hi dragon,

Thanks a lot for the reply.

Colud you please tell me with the option checked for "initial data reductuion based on section access" under document properties ,will the same will load the filtered data to the QV RAM from the database, or it will just filter the data from the preloaded data of QV RAM and show us in the report.

What i mean to ask here i want to load only needed data into QV RAM there by improving the performance,instead of loading all the data to QV memory. So will the same be achieved by the property reduction data based on section access .

Please respond me quickly, as i need this help urgently.

Hi,

With Reduce data based on section Access, Qlikview reduces the data based on the selection that user has done. If you with to try that go in any qlikview file , select a value in a field & in file menu click on -> Reduce Data -> Keep Possible Value. You can see the data getting reduced. Temporarily u can save & reopen the doc, it will be having the reduced data. Reload if want to load all data.
