Current Selections with Alternate state

Hi All,

I need help with current selection box. I want to display inherited or alternate state in the same CS box or simultaneously when I select one of these field. Not sure if its doable or not in QV? In my current QVW file, I have quarter end date and two alternate states using the quarter end date field. These 2 alternate states are used to compare Quarter end date activities.

For example:

QtrDate = 6/30/15;3/31/15

State1=6/30/15 (as Current)

State2=3/31/15 ( as Prior)

With CS Box in “inherited” – If I selected “QtrDate” , it will shows on the CS Box but not State1 and State2 unless I update it to the
state that I want to display CS.

Any inputs will be greatly appreciated!!

May be use something else rather than Current Selection Object for showing the current selections. Look here for alternatives available: Current Selection Alternatives

You can create your own custom selections box by adding a text object with e.g. (the state option in getcurrentselections was added in 11 SR5 I think, so this will not work in older versions)

=GetCurrentSelections()&'

'&GetCurrentSelections(Chr(13)&chr(10),':',',',100,'Alt1')

Sunny and Piet - Thank You for the suggestions, I will look into it further to see which best fit my situation.
