Hi,

both are good mapping extension for Qlikview and Qliksense.

The functionalities are mostly the same, but they use to different approaches (now i am regarding the Qlikview version):
- Geoqlik: requires a server installation on the server side where you can make all kind of configurations, define layers and themes and it is based on flash technology.

- Qlikmap: is fully based on javascript and not requires any server installtion, you just need install the extension on the Qlikview server and you already can work with it. In addition you can make some customizations using simple html.

So in conclusion I think there is not much difference regarding the offered functionalities from both extensions, they use different technologies, but offer almost the same features set.

Cheers,

Patric

I found GeoQlik to be slow and cumbersome compared to QlikMaps.

I have only attended presentations on QlikMaps and not personally used it but remember how slow GeoQlik was and also the trouble I had finding shape files that were useful and also small enough to be loaded in.

From what I have seen QlikMaps is a superior solution.

Take a look at this video how powerful and easy it is: New video: add a map in a minute « bi.idevio.com.

Regards

Johan
